Job Description:

DMI Marketing is seeking a self-motivated, high-energy individual for our Sales Consultant position. This individual will use his/her skills to manage and develop a book of annuity and life insurance business comprised of independent insurance agents and financial advisors, by providing sales support, product illustrations, case development and related activities. The ultimate goal of the position is to develop and grow annuity and life insurance production by prospecting for and recruiting new agents and advisors to work with our firm.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 – 3 Years experience in internal wholesaling, sales support or related activities with a working understanding of agents and financial advisors and the annuity, insurance and financial services industries
  • Outstanding sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a phone-based environment
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple, high-priority tasks
  • Understanding of the recruiting and sales cycles, and the ability to convert prospects into clients
  • Understanding of life insurance, annuities and related products a plus
  • Life/Health insurance license a plus

Compensation:

Base salary plus commission based on sales revenue. DMI Marketing also offers its employees a full range of benefits including health/medical, dental, 401k and other supplemental benefits.

Life Sales Consultant - External

Sales Support Specialist

Job Description:

DMI Marketing is seeking a self-motivated, high-energy individual for our Sales Support Specialist to support DMI’s internal and external sales consultants. Responsibilities include:

  • Running customized sales proposals for the sales team members
  • Creating digital and hard-copy sales packages for distribution to prospects and agents
  • Maintaining sales literature supplies with current up-to-date materials
  • Performing related sales administrative functions as needed

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 1 – 2 years administrative work experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple activities and projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized and able to follow a defined process
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Ability to support multiple people with varying priorities; need to prioritize work
  • Willingness to learn financial quoting software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in financial services and/or insurance sales is a plus

Life Case Manager

Job Description:

Provide customer service to and relationship management with our life insurance agents by managing their life new business/underwriting needs from beginning to end while providing constant communication throughout the process while also maintaining communication and relationships with other DMI team members who also support our life insurance agents. Responsibilities include:

  • Read and review life insurance applications to ensure all needed forms and information are included for the application to be “in good order” for submission to the insurance carrier while also reviewing for underwriting red flags.
  • Order and review underwriting requirements including Attending Physician Statements, supplemental forms and other medical requirements for submission to the carrier while maintaining all HIPAA standards for formal applications and informal inquiries.
  • Schedule and complete follow-up communication with agents regarding the status of the applications through each step in the underwriting process and document all communications.
  • Review issued insurance policies for accuracy and handle reissues if required; send policies/delivery requirements to insurance agents
  • Follow-up with insurance agents on policy delivery requirements, including application amendments, health statements, insurance premium etc., to ensure policy is placed within specified timeframe
  • Take the initiative to review other than applied for offers on term cases to determine if alternatives exist
  • Organize and prioritize workload to ensure applications are processed, issued, and placed in a timely manner while maintaining frequent communication to manage customer expectations appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate information and updates in our CRM (SmartOffice).
  • Build and maintain working relationships with case managers and underwriters at insurance carriers.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a self-directed fashion
  • 2 – 3 years of life insurance case management experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate precisely and professionally verbally and written format with internal and external customers
