Marketing and Events Coordinator

Job Description:

The Marketing and Events Coordinator is a service-minded role to help our clients execute their events in a seamless and in a highly organized fashion. The person in this role is personable and naturally enjoys helping others, in addition to being incredibly detail-oriented, organized, possess solid time management skills, excellent writing and listening skills, and has the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendor partners.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create and distribute internal and external event marketing materials (calendars, flyers, best practice guides, event-related client resources)
  • Update client event calendars and event ROI to be shared with DMI executives
  • Manage advisor seminars and events to help retain and expand the business
  • Maintain relationships with event marketing vendors
  • Schedule “kick off” call with clients to review the seminar process and timeline
  • Conduct and participate in client discovery calls with seminar marketing vendors
  • Provide branded seminar materials for advisors
  • Effectively market the events across multiple platforms and find solutions to drive attendance
  • Assist advisor’s with development and execution for pre-event and post-event marketing strategy
  • Monitor and analyze clients and DMI’s event results to report on the effectiveness
  • Promote upcoming DMI events using social media
  • Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with partners
  • Identify new ways to track the event attendee and host pipeline
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on how to continually add value to our clients and grow DMI’s business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of professional experience with events marketing and social media
  • Experience with professional event coordination ad collaborating with outside vendors
  • A natural interest in helping/supporting others
  • An interest in a long-term role; DMI is growing and we like to hire people who can grow with us
  • Independent, self-driven, trustworthy, and willing to learn
  • Calm in a busy environment and confident when dealing with uncertainty and last-minute changes
  • Creative and excited to trying new things with regards to our marketing
