By | In The Community

On October 5, DMI Founder and President Brian Donahue participated in the South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Corporate Social Responsibility Panel Discussion. Referencing DMI’s experience with community service, Brian shared best practices and the importance recognizing corporate responsibility, “[Our commitment to corporate responsibility] supports employees giving back to local programs in and around our home town of Hingham. We are dedicated to volunteering to serve the communities where we work and live through our partnerships with local causes and organizations.”

DMI launched its own community service department in 2016 to support employees giving back to local programs in and around DMI’s hometown of Hingham, MA, partnering with organizations like Road to Responsibility and the Friends of Mel Foundation, both members of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. Incorporating community service into our corporate responsibility program at DMI began with an employee representing each of our main departments. This committee explores partnership opportunities with other members of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. DMI’s decision to collaborate with an organization is based upon a few factors: What does the organization need most and are we able to support that need? What is the timing of the need? DMI approaches each foundation from a true partnership standpoint. We’ve seen the culture at DMI benefit from the time spent within the community, and we hope our partners have enjoyed hosting us as much as we enjoyed working with them.
